Rice water in hair care is the trick you’ve long been waiting for
It takes approx. 2 minutes to read this article

Rice is probably the most popular and widely consumed cereal in the world. It provides carbohydrates, fiber and protein essential for humans. It is rich in vitamins and microelements necessary for the proper functioning of the body – magnesium, iron, manganese, zinc, phosphorus and selenium. In addition, it is easy to digest, regulates blood sugar and cholesterol levels, protecting us from many serious diseases. All this richness can constantly be found in your kitchen cupboard.

In addition to health, rice can be very good for your hair. In East Asia, this way of caring for beautiful, long strands has been known for centuries. Rice water strengthens and beautifies the hair, giving it a shiny appearance. It contains one important ingredient – a carbohydrate called inositol. It regenerates hair and protects it from further possible damage. It has a nourishing effect on the scalp, soothing any irritation

Rice water is child’s play to prepare. All you need is a glass of water and a glass of rice. Rinse the rice so that there are no impurities in it. Mix both ingredients in a bowl or medium sized container until the water becomes milky in color. Drain the rice – you can save it for later or cook it. Secure the water in a container and set aside at room temperature for at least 12 hours, but no longer than 24 hours. This will allow all the nutrients to begin their effects.

You can store water prepared this way for a few days in the fridge, such as in a convenient shampoo bottle. It is best to apply rice water all over your hair, regularly, two days a week. Use it as a rinse after shampooing, before applying conditioner. Massage the water into your hair and scalp and leave it there for 5 to 10 minutes. You should see the benefits after about two weeks.
