Want to cut your hair at home? It’s trivial

You don’t have to make a trip to the hairdresser’s to have your ends trimmed. Just follow these few tips and your hair will shine again. Find out how to get your hair cut easily at home.

STEP 1

The first step is to wet your hair, as wet strands are much more manageable. Then, use a fine-toothed comb or brush to comb through your hair and gather it into a ponytail at the crown of your forehead, leaning forward.

STEP 2

Divide the hair into two sections of equal thickness, separate another strand at the front, hold it between two fingers and snip at any height. Trim the remaining sections so they’re flush with the first shortened section.

STEP 3

Brush your hair and re-do the ponytail to make sure there’s no frizz. Then, pull your hair apart and flip it back, check in the mirror that the bottom line is straight and make any adjustments. Keep in mind that wet hair is slightly longer and the hairstyle will lift up when it dries.
