ASK Poland, an automotive audio equipment manufacturer, has implemented SMSEagle technology to improve communication during production incidents. Integrated with the Golem MES system, the SMS gateway delivers alerts directly to engineers’ phones, helping them respond faster to equipment failures and reduce the risk of production downtime.
Every Second Counts
At ASK Poland, a finished product leaves the production line every six seconds. Previously, engineers received equipment failure notifications by email, which they could not always check immediately while working on the factory floor. The company needed a more reliable way to reach maintenance teams.
Faster Alerts, Better Communication
ASK Poland selected the SMSEagle NXS-9750 3G gateway to convert email notifications into SMS messages. The Email to SMS Poller module was customized to include machine and production line details, allowing engineers to identify problems more efficiently.
According to Ireneusz Rodak, a maintenance engineer at ASK Poland, the system ensures that relevant staff are notified immediately, whether an issue is reported manually or detected automatically by Golem MES.
The implementation has improved communication across production lines. ASK Poland also plans to expand the solution to additional lines and explore its use for network monitoring.
